Preparing Your House for Sale has been postponed at the request of the speaker.  Please check back for a new date and time.  Plan to sell your home soon?  Join us on Oct. 2 at 7 pm for “Preparing Your House For Sale” with Realtor Carol Cei, to learn more about staging your home to best advantage.

Friends of the Library Used Book Sale runs downstairs from Oct. 7 to 11.   The Library is also participating in the Fire Company’s Fire Prevention Open House on Saturday, Oct. 11!

Local craft beer brewer and business owner Jeff Mulherin will share the story of Hatboro’s Crooked Eye Brewery on Oct. 8 at 7 pm.

Paula Marantz CohenOn Oct. 14, Paula Marantz Cohen will share her newest book Suzanne Davis Gets a Life with us at 7 pm. Paula is the author of seven books and numerous essays on literature, film, and culture, including the novels Jane Austen in Boca; Much Ado About Jessie Kaplan; and Jane Austen in Scarsdale or Love, Death, and the SATs.

BernsteinOn Oct. 22 at 7 pm, the Library proudly hosts “Leonard Bernstein: American Idol, American Idealist” with Karl Middleman. Karl, of the Philadelphia Classical Symphony, will give us a conductor’s perspective on what made Leonard Bernstein great. He will also explore Bernstein’s engagement with social issues and talks about Bernstein’s time in Philadelphia at the Curtis Institute of Music. This program is made possible by the Friends of Huntingdon Valley Library and through a grant to the Pennsylvania Humanities Council from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Find out about Medicare 2015 on Oct. 28 at 7 pm with Al Toizer from APPRISE, a state Health Insurance Assistance Program.

The Library Board of Trustees invites Lower Moreland residents and library patrons to participate in one of three Community Forums on Oct. 13 at 2 pm, Oct. 16 at 7 pm or Oct. 25 at 10:30 am. Input from an online Customer Survey active through September 30 and the Forums will be used to help craft a new Strategic Plan for the Library.
